Adrienne called earlier and said “Let’s go see owls, I know where three of them live near us.” So we went for a short walk on the trail by the Connected Lakes near where I live. It was late evening and it was too dark to see any details, just an outline against a moonlit sky.

I shot this picture of an owl high up in a tree without being able to see much or to focus, just a shot in the dark. I was surprised to discover that the photo actually came out all right (minus the red eyes). A demonic owl. After starring at this photo I am afraid to go to sleep tonight.
